Sahara was first introduced to belly dance from a certified fitness instructor perspective. She found that it's a great way to work your core muscles, thighs and buns!

 

She enjoys the energetic movements that help relieve stress and the creative expression the dance inspires, leaving you feeling refreshed and recharged. 

Sahara has been teaching belly dance at Total Woman Gym in Northridge, CA since 2001.  She studied belly dance training through Anja Christy and performed with Anja's belly dance troupe, Anja's Court, for seven years.  Sahara danced with the troupe as they won the 2006 Belly Dancer of the Universe Competition (Group Category) in Long Beach, CA.

 In 2008, Sahara formed her troupe, Mirage in Motion.  The troupe won the 2011 Belly Dancer of the Universe People's Choice Award (Group Category). They have performed at festivals, special events, Moun of Tunis restaurant in Hollywood, the Queen Mary in Long Beach and the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas.  Mirage in Motion is available to perform at parties, shows and special events.
