Welcome to BellyDance4Fun!

unique parties for girls of all ages

This ancient dance has been performed throughout history among women & girls celebrating the inner beauty in each of us.  Today, belly dance has become very popular with a new generation.

Belly dancing is known throughout the world as Danse Orientale, or Oriental Dance.  This beautiful form of expression draws elements and styles from many different cultures.  In the United States, inspiration from such countries as Turkey, Egypt, Morocco and Spain flows through the dance.

As you explore this most ancient of dance forms, you’ll find the dance is a positive statement about the beauty, strength and grace of all that is feminine.  Performed among friends, the spirit of the dance encourages a sense of camaraderie that’s so hard to find in these modern times.

The natural movements of the dance gently work the muscles while massaging away your tension.  Some of the more dynamic movements, like shimmies, energize you while releasing stress and creating a sense of balance through mind, body and spirit.

Traditional belly dance moves:

Hip Shimmies - a shimmering vibration of the hips created by alternating the knees at high speed.

Snake arms - highlight the beauty and flexibility of the dancer.

Hip circles - smooth movement of the hips on a horizontal plane forward, side, back and around.

Undulation - rotating movements of the chest forward, up, back and down.
